1. How are students evaluated for enrollment?
Admission to Kairos requires an entrance assessment to be completed by the applying child under school supervision. Parents will not be permitted to assist their children during assessment. Assessment content will primarily include topics and skills in English, Math, and Chinese.
2. Are there requirements for the student’s parent or teacher?
Each applicant must indicate a primary instructor who is a college degree holder and who will be held responsible for all parent-teacher interactions regarding the child for the upcoming school year. Parents must also participate in a family interview before admission can be confirmed.
3. Can anybody homeschool?
Homeschooling is a completely attainable arrangement, and most parents are capable of educating their children well on their own. As with any system, however, homeschooling is better suited for some situations than for others. As a result, Kairos reserves the right to disapprove an application if the homeschool approach is not in the best interests of the child.
4. At what age may my child apply?
Students may apply to the following levels at the corresponding listed ages. Students who are transferring from another school may apply for the grade level following the grade they’ve already completed.
Families are responsible for indicating what grade level their child is applying for. Kairos reserves the right to prescribe a different grade level to an applicant after entrance assessments are conducted.
